The Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition is aimed at all concert performers and its purpose is the dissemination and study of the guitar, at the same time as honouring the memory of Andrés Segovia Torres, a “favourite son” of Almuñécar and La Herradura.
Composers who have not been awarded in previous editions may participate in the Composing Competition. They should submit an original piece for guitar, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
